This is to inform that due to the death of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Wednesday, Deputy ruler of Dubai and United Arab Emirates Minister of Finance. UAE government has closure of government institutions in the emirate for three days from Thursday 25th March to 27th March 2021. Please note UAE immigration will also remain closed. Follow up for any urgent cases will not be possible during this period. Flag in Dubaiwill be flown in Half Mass from today to 10 days.
He had been unwell from last few months, Sheikh is of 75 yr old and he is the brother of the Vice President and Prime Minister of Dubai, and on his death Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid shared a news from his Official Twitter Account
Sheikh was born on 25 December 1945 and he is the second son of the Ruler Sheikh Rashid Bin Sayeed Al Makhtoon, He has completed his studies from Dubai itself later for the further studies he went to Cambridge and completed his studies from Bell School of Languages
His passion is Horse Races, Hunting and Dhow Racing. He owns many horses with the very high cost and a best breed which can never be seen anywhere in the world, And lastly he is also a great achiever and a knowledgable person.
He chaired high-level Government workings work for the Economy and Labour Market of the United Arab Emirates, Like Dubai Municipality, Al Makhtoom Foundation, Dubai Aluminium, (DUBAL), Dubai Natural Gas Limited (DUGAS), and Dubai World Trade Centre.
