As the cases of coronavirus has increased with a hike, many of the states in India have imposed lockdowns and curfew to break the chain of infection. Himachal Pradesh has also decided to impose night curfew in some districts. To be precise, the state government is going to impose the night curfew in the districts of Solan, Sirmaur, Kangra, and Una from April 27 to May 10. The night curfew will effects from 10 pm to 5 am.
The announcement to go for night curfew was jointly decided at a meeting that included Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur; Urban Development Minister, Suresh Bhardwaj; Technical Education, and Tribal Development Minister, Ram Lal Markanda; Health Minister, Rajib Saizal; and Forest Minister, Rakesh Pathania, were some of the high level government officials who attended the meeting.
The Government also decided to make the RT-PCR report at the time of entry for everyone. If anyone do not produce the RT-PCR report at the time of entry the he/she have to remain quarantine for 14 days in the government aided institutions.
COVID protocols would be in place, enforced by Special Task Force during social, political, cultural, and religious gatherings. The task force would be given the power to take action against people who are violating COVID guidelines.
