Indian Embassy in Nepal on Tuesday announced that all national from India avoid the travel to Nepal for the purpose of onward journey to third country ie; UAE, Saudi Arabia etc.

The advisory comes after the Nepal cancelled all foreign nationals for using Kathmandu as a transit point as part of its effort to combat the surge in coronavirus cases.

Department of Immigration of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Nepal on 26 April 2021 issued a notification and said,

"The arrival of foreigners intending to travel to third countries via Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and using TIA as transit airport will be restricted from 28 April 2021 midnight till the next notice”. However, “… the ongoing services provided to travelers arriving in Nepal as a final destination and departing from Nepal will be continued as usual."


This latest restriction announced by the Nepal will be comes into effective from April 28. 23:59 hrs and will remain continue till further notice.

It also noted that as of now ongoing services provided to travelers arriving in Nepal as the final destination and departing from Nepal will be continued as previous.
