New Zealand has temporarily bans the entry for all Indian including its citizens for two weeks. After the increment in the cases of Novel Coronavirus New Zealand closes all its border because new 23 cases of coronavirus is found there and out of which 17 were Indians.
In the interaction with press reporters Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said "We are temporarily suspending entry into New Zealand for travelers from India" as India have the deadly impact of the second wave of coronavirus, daily the cases are increasing very speedly.
The suspension will start from 4 pm local time on April 11 and will be in place until April 28. During this time the government will look at risk management measures to resume travel.
Adern added in his statement "I want to emphasize that while arrivals of COVID from India have prompted this measure, we are looking at how we manage high-risk points of departure generally. This is not a country-specific risk assessment…"
New Zealand have very less number of cases of COVID-19, but day by day it is increasing as many of the people from outside came there, many of them are Indians.
Prime Minister said that the cases are increasing day by day and it counts to seven on Wednesday. One local worker from New Zealand is also found positive in his RT-PCR report who works in a coronavirus managed isolation facility.
