As Maharashtra have the highest number of Coronavirus cases in India, and daily cases are increasing rapidly. So the Govt plans to put the complete lockdown there which may be started from mid of this week.
On April 13, CM Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar held a meetings to discuss the SOPs and also to delegate monetary power to local authorities to tackle with the second wave of Coronavirus.
The decision will be taken on Wednesday, and the work of drafting SOPs on how the lockdown will be imposed is under planning, said by the Senior State Government Officials.
State government is also managing a way where the current short supply of oxygen, medicines, and antiviral injection remdesivir can be streamlined, and additional beds are being arranged in many hospitals.
Lastly, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has confirmed that a lockdown will be imposed soon. Tope also advised that people of Maharashtra should prepare for a lockdown.
Tope also stated that "Prior information will be given to people before the lockdown is implemented. At this point of time all that I would want to say to the residents of the state is that they should mentally prepare themselves for a lockdown"
