The Maldives is a mini paradise for travellers and after while having a good amount cases of novel coronavirus still it manages the tourism. For increasing the foot-fall of tourism, Maldives is planning to vaccinate all the travellers in the future. Country's Tourism Minister Abdullah Mausoom announced this information.
Abdullah Mausoom said that Maldives will implement a "3V Program", which is "visit, vaccinate, and vacation". This is for the bring back of the travellers and helps Maldives to reach 1.5 million tourist arrival goal in year 2021.Near about 350000 tourists have visited the Maldives till now, and most of them have been from India.
Almost 90 percent of tourism workers have received their first vaccine dose in the Maldives and once everyone gets vaccinated, the country will start with their vaccination program.
Mousoon Said "The main idea of tourism being open is to provide a reasonably safe tourism [experience] with minimum inconvenience. So once the country gets vaccinated, then we will move on to '3V' tourism"
Now, nearly 51.5 percent of residents have received at least one dose of a vaccine while 4.8 percent have been completely vaccinated.
