Greece announced to starts the tourism for travellers but those who wish to travel there must know that in Greece almost all the hospitals are full with covid-19 patients, and almost half of its population do not get vaccinated against covid-19.
Travelling in such a condition is really a big challenge for travellers but Govt decided to open the doors of tourism because Tourism is the main source of income for the country's economy. Tourism officials assures that with social distancing, COVID protocols and the warm weather, tourism in the country will be safe.
As Greece is ready to starts tourism from the United States, the US State Department recently added Greece to its list of “Level 4: Do Not Travel” countries.
Greece Tourism Minister, Harry Theoharis, said in an interview, "We welcome a common position. All we’re saying is that this has to be forthcoming now. We cannot wait until June."
Requirement By Tourism Aouthority To Travel Greece
- Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed without a negative COVID-19 PCR test (at least 14 days prior to arrival do not need to quarantine).
- Unvaccinated travellers will have to show a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival. Kids, aged five and under, are exempt from this.
