As the cases of novel coronavirus do not comes to down globally. Several countries has made the travel restrcitions on international flights. Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka bans all arriving international flights for 10 days starting from May 21, 2021.
The announcement was made by the (CAASL) on twitter, "This is to inform all online and offline carriers that all international Airports in Sri Lanka will not permit disembarking passengers into Sri Lanka with effect from 2359hrs on 21 May 2021 (local time in Sri Lanka) until 2359hrs on 31 May 2021 (local time in Sri Lanka) with a view to controlling the Covid-I9 situation in the country."

Moreover, the travellers who need to leave the country on an urgent basis shall be allowed to do so during this period through other international transit flights with a layover less than 12 hours and flights originating from the country.
The restrictions will be in force from 11 pm on May 21 and will continue till 4 am on May 31.
Srilankan Airline the flag carrier of Sri Lanka in a statement said that the restriction will be reviewed as early as possible based on instructions from local health authorities to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19.
