Uttar Pradesh Govt announced to extend the curfew in state till May 17, 2021 as the cases of coronavirus remain surge.
Only the shops with the essentials goods are allowed to open during this period and medicals and hospitals services are allowed to open. The vaccination against covid-19 will be operational.
The Uttar Pradesh Govt announced the lockdown from April 29, later on it extended till May 10, and then after officials extends it till May 17.
Allahabad High Court suggested the state government to put the strict lockdown as after seeing the hike in cases of coronavirus cases across the state.

Uttar Pradesh on Saturday reported 26,847 new infections, taking the state’s infection count to 14,80,315. As many as 298 more people died with the coronavirus in this period. The death toll in UP is 15,170 till now.
In all cases, Lucknow reported the maximum of 2,179 cases, followed by 1,653 in Meerut, 1,518 in Muzaffarnagar, 1,485 in Saharanpur and 1,188 in Noida.
Total active cases in the UP counts to 2,45,736. Govt Officials said around 65,000 people recovered from the coronavirus in last one week.
