As the surge of coronavirus is moving to the worst in India, Uttarakhand Govt decided the extend the lockdown for a week to break the chain of transmission.
Previously the lockdown was supposed to end by May 18, 2021 but as after seeing the increment is cases due to the second variant of coronavirus, Govt has decided to extend the lockdown till May 25, 2021.
Cabinet Minister and State Government's Official Spokesman, Subodh Uniyal said that the people who wish to enter in state must required a negative RT-PCR certificate not older then 72 hrs while entering the to the state.
Marriage functions are allowed in state only with the gathering of 25 guests and ministry also put the limit on funeral functions as per guidelines only 20 peoples are allowed to attend funeral and those who wish to attend funeral will requires a curfew pass from the administration.
During the lockdown period only the essentials like outlets, milk shops and bakery are allowed to open from 7am tp 10am and Government also make a cap on timing of banks which will operate from 10am to 2pm.
