Indian Embassy on Sunday announced that the Saudi Arabian government has recognized India's Covidshield vaccine at par with AstraZeneca, which was approved by Saudi Arabia for entry.
In a tweet Indian Embassy said, "Embassy is pleased to announce that Saudi Authorities have recognized the equivalence of Covishield vaccine in India to the Astra Zeneca vaccine which is approved by Saudi authorities."

Covishield from Oxford/AstraZeneca is one of two approved vaccines in India and most nationals travelling to India had taken the Covishield vaccine.
Vaccines approved by Saudi Arabia for travelling
1) Pfizer – BioNTech
2) Moderna
3) Oxford-AstraZeneca
4) Johnson & Johnson and
5) Covishield – Serum Institute of India
All travelers, residents and visitors who have spent 14 days in Saudi Arabia after completing their doses of approved vaccines are not required to isolate themselves upon arrival in the Kingdom.
As of now, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not allowing travellers from 09 countries which include India, Pakistan, Argentina, Indonesia, Portugal, Turkey, South Africa, Lebanon and Egypt.
