As a start of unlocking, the Delhi government today announced the reopening of bars, public parks, gardens from Monday. Restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol for a week from Monday and outdoor yoga activities in public parks will also be allowed.
Delhi Disaster Management Authority in his official statement said that, "Bars are allowed up to 50% seating capacity from noon to 10 pm. Owners of restaurants and bars shall be responsible for strict adherence to the prescribed SOPs and guidelines issued by the Government of India/Delhi government,"
Last week all shops, markets and malls were allowed to reopen without any restrictions. Restrictions of 50% seating capacity, however, continued for restaurants.
Educational institutions, gyms, spas and yoga institutes, movie theaters and any social, political, sports gatherings and gatherings are on the list of things to remain closed in this installment of unlocking as well.
After cases started declining in the last week of March and the positivity rate dropped to around 1 percent, a gradual unlock process began, construction activities and factories were allowed to reopen. This was followed by a week in markets and malls on an odd-even basis.
