As after improving covid-19 situation in India, Himachal Pradesh has decided to end the requirement of mandatory e-pass for tourists visiting the state from July 1, 2021.

The state government has also decided to allow inter-state buses including private ones with 50 percent capacity.

It is important to note that from June 14, inter-state travellers will not be required to show negative RT-PCR report to enter Himachal Pradesh.

The decision comes after a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here to review the situation of coronavirus in the state.

All shops will now remain open from 9 am to 8 pm while restaurants will remain open till 10 pm.

All social events will be allowed up to 50 percent of the total indoor capacity with a maximum of 50 persons, while outdoor gatherings will be permitted up to a maximum of 100 persons at a particular time.

These decisions have been taken due to persistent demand from hoteliers and others associated with the travel and tourism sector. The hospitality sector has been the worst hit, with thousands of people losing their jobs due to coronavirus pendamic.
