The airline industry in India is soon start with a new flight model by Prince Air. The carrier is soon going to become India's first subscription based airline. Yes, you read that correct. By this we mean that you can fly multiple times for a monthly subscription. Like subscribing to an OTT platform.
Sanket Raj Singh, Founder, Prince Air said that passengers subscribing to this new model will be able to enjoy a privileged experience, which is different from regular check-in at airports. It will be like owning your own private jet, an experience that will make you feel special.
Singh said that the passengers would have to reach half an hour before the departure time and the entry would be through a different gate unlike the rest of the passengers. You can also arrange a car to leave the airport early.
Prince Air's new aviation experience should be ready for passengers in about 6 to 9 months. The idea is new, and it will be interesting to see how it fares among Indian travellers. The company has started pre-selling the membership.
Singh stated, the airline wants to start operations when it has 10,000 to 12,000 members in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. According to Singh, the cost of membership is INR 54500 per month. This means you can fly to Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru as many times as you want for INR 54500.
As of now the airline covers New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and later it will connect to cities like Lucknow, Ahmedabad. Jaipur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Amritsar.
