After pictures of overcrowded Manali surfaced on social media, the government has warned tourists about overcrowded tourist places. The Center has raised an alarm warning travellers about the journey of revenge which is becoming the norm.
After being locked in homes for months, people are turning to the mountains to escape the heat in the plains.
Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health said in a statement, "Virus will get an opportunity to spread again if people continue to move around in hill stations and markets without wearing masks and without maintaining physical distance."
If the country continues to crowd tourist places, the progress the country has made so far to contain the virus will go to waste.

Balram Bhargava, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research said, "The pictures from hill stations that we have seen today are very frightening. Covid-appropriate behaviour is absolutely essential."
It has been observed that such travellers are crowding popular tourist destinations like Manali and all covid protocols get unfollowed, which means no one wears masks, and no social distancing is being maintained. Actually, it is clear from the pictures seen on social media that people are competing for space.
In fact, officials have also cited an online survey with 33000 respondents, which indicates a violation of the covid protocol. It was told that only 11 percent of the people are meeting the norms of social distancing.
