Goa has finally reopened for tourists, the government has allowed only those tourists who are fully vaccinated or whose RT-PCR test report is negative.

This decision has been taken by the government after the decrease in the cases of Novel Coronavirus.

The tourist told news agency ANI, "Goa has reopened for tourists who are fully vaccinated or have a negative RTPCR report, as COVID cases have decreased. “Goa govt is very alert. They are asking for masks everywhere and aren’t allowing anyone to enter without a negative RTPCR report,"

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also said that new SOPs, negative RT-PCR test results or complete vaccination will be made mandatory for travelers in view of the upcoming festivals.

Meanwhile, Goa airport director Gagan Malik said the reopening of Goa for tourists was a "good sign".

Malik furher said, "Aviation industry has suffered huge losses (due to COVID). In Goa, we had an average of 77 flight operations per day, which stands at 30 now. All airlines barring one have restarted their operations,"
