In the fresh guidelines of travelling, Greek Government has now ruled that unvaccinated passengers entering the country from India, regardless of a person's nationality, must be tested against COVID-19 upon arrival.
The same rule applies to 12 other countries apart from India. These are the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Morocco, Libya, China, Cuba, Argentina, Egypt, Georgia, Albania, China and Russia.
The Greek Aviation Authority has issued NOTAM, Notice to Airmen for all incoming international flights. It will be valid till August 27. Greece has also decided to ban its domestic flights for a week.
NOTAM prohibits third-country nationals, including spouses or cohabiting people from entering the country. Additionally,
New Guidelines For Travelling
1. Travellers arriving in Greece must fill out an Passenger Locator Form, must be completed prior to the departure of the flight to Greece.
2. Travellers must have a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate, the last dose of which was given 14 days prior to arrival in Greece.
3. Negative RT-PCR test report should have been taken 72 hours before, whereas for rapid test report 48 hours before departure.
4. Any traveller who has been infected in the past should have a certificate of recovery which must be issued 30 days after recovery.
5. Passengers whose test reports have come positive at the Greek airport will have to quarantine for 10 days.
