With fresh coronavius cases stabilizing and rapid vaccination of the population, many countries have eased travel restrictions for tourists and work-related purposes.
Scheduled international passenger flights in India have been suspended since March 23 last year amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, limited special international passenger flights have been operating since July 2020 under the air bubble arrangement formed with 28 countries including the UK.
Travel rules for Indians set by these Countries:
United Arab Emirates
All travelers with valid UAE residence visa are allowed to travel to Dubai from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda, provided they have valid coronavirus test proof issued within 48 hours between the time of sample collection Have a letter and scheduled flight departures.
UAE citizens are exempted from these requirements, but are subject to a covid-19 PCR test upon arrival in Dubai.
Canada
Canada on August 10, 2021 again extended the ban on arrival of passenger flights directly from India to September 21 due to the risks posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
The federal transport ministry said, "The Government of Canada has suspended flights from India until September 21, 2021. During that period, passengers who travel to Canada from India via an indirect route will need to obtain a pre-departure negative coronavirus molecular test result from a third country before continuing their journey to Canada,"
United States
The United States has eased travel restrictions for India and listed it at Level 3, lowering it to the highest, i.e., Level 4, due to serious risks to the safety and security of American citizens on travel to the country. encouraged to reconsider. However, the travel of Indians from the US has been banned except in certain categories. The US had banned the entry of Indians from May this year.
United Kingdom
The United Kingdom moved India from its high-alert 'Red List' to a medium-risk 'Amber List' on 8 August. As per the new guidelines, fully vaccinated travelers will no longer be compelled to undergo 10-day hotel quarantine.
Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) confirmed that all people coming from India who have been vaccinated in India are required to self-isolate at home or their designated place as mentioned in the mandatory locator form.
European Union
The European Union has said it will not amend its safe travel list this week. The list currently includes 20 countries, including the United States, Japan and Australia, and is considered safe from a health perspective amid the ongoing pandemic. Despite the decline in cases, India is not on the list yet.
Spain
Spain has also reopened its borders to tourists who have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before travel. Travelers should be vaccinated with a vaccine approved by WHO or the European Medicines Agency. Meaning, Spain does not recognize Covaxin.
Afghanistan
India has advised all its citizens living in Afghanistan to make immediate travel arrangements to return home before the closure of commercial air services from the country in view of the massive escalation in violence.
In a fresh advisory, the Indian Embassy in Kabul also advised Indian companies operating. To withdraw its Indian employees from the project sites immediately before the closure of air travel services to and from the country in Afghanistan.
