United Arab Emirates announced that it will resume issuing tourist visas to fully vaccinated travellers from all countries from August 30, 2021.
The decision also included people arriving from countries from which the UAE had previously banned entry.
Tourists will also be required to take a mandatory rapid PCR test at the airport, with the previous requirements valid for non-vaccinated groups.
The move is in line with the UAE's strategy aimed at striking a balance between public health and various critical sectors and will support national efforts to achieve sustainable reforms and revive the economic sector.
Important Guidelines For Travelling
1. Application for tourist visa will be open for people of all countries from 30th August, 2021.
2. Tourists will need to be vaccinated with one of the WHO approved COVID-19 vaccines.
3. Tourist visa is also open to those travellers from where travel was earlier restricted.
4. Passengers arriving on tourist visa will have to undergo a mandatory rapid PCR test at the airport upon arrival.
5. All previous rules remain in place for the non-vaccinated, including the exempted categories.
6. Travelers wishing to receive the benefits provided to vaccinated people in the UAE can register their vaccination through the ICA platform or the Al Hosn application.
