If you are planning to travel in and around India, be careful with the latest travel rules of that particular state.
Traveling from one state to another is not like the time of coronavirus. Every state has different rules for passengers coming from other states.
Andaman And Nicobar
RT-PCR negative report issued from ICMR accredited laboratory where the test is done 48 hours before the start of the journey. Handwritten report is not acceptable. Apart from this, all incoming passengers will have to mandatorily undergo rapid antigen test.
Quarantine Requirements: Compulsory home quarantine for 7 days, even with negative RT PCR report. Travelers visiting Swaraj Dweep, Shaheed Dweep and Little Andaman are required to undergo home quarantine for 10 days without testing negative.
Violation of the quarantine guidelines will attract a fine of INR 5000/- every time.
Andhra Pradesh
All asymptomatic passengers will have to be in home quarantine for 14 days. Also, all passengers are required to register themselves on Spandana website www.spandana.ap.gov.in
Assam
Thermal screening will be done on arrival. Rapid antigen test on arrival is mandatory. Passengers with positive results go for home isolation or hospitalization. Passengers with negative results will have to undergo PCR test at the airport and remain in home quarantine till the result is declared.
All incoming passengers will have to undergo mandatory home quarantine for 7 days, even if the result of the covid-19 test on arrival is negative.
Rapid Antigen Test on Arrival is mandatory for all, including fully vaccinated passengers. Passengers with positive results go for home isolation/hospitalisation. Passengers with negative results will have to undergo RT-PCR test at the airport and remain in home quarantine till the result is declared.
Passengers traveling intra-Assam and North East states were exempted from arrival test.
Government officials and passengers traveling for medical reasons or family bereavement are exempted from mandatory quarantine.
The maximum cost of RT-PCR test INR 500 will be borne by the passengers.
Bihar
Thermal screening will be done on arrival. The Health Department, Government of Bihar has lifted the restriction for domestic arrival passengers in Patna and RT-PCR negative reports will not be mandatory for passengers coming to Patna from other domestic stations.
10 days home quarantine mandatory for passengers.
All passengers will be tested for covid-19 and those found positive will be directed to follow the SOPs issued by the health department.
For Gaya only, passengers coming from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi & NCR, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab will require vaccination certificate / RT-PCR / RAT negative report from ICMR recognized laboratories. The RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of swab collection.
RT-PCR report in 72 hours 14 days old certificate of both the doses of coronavirus vaccination.
Rapid Antigen facility is available free of charge upon arrival.
Chhattisgarh
Passengers are required to carry RT-PCR negative report from ICMR certified laboratories before 96 hours. ICMR ID or SRF ID is necessary in case of negative report, otherwise coronavirus will be investigated on arrival. Those coming without the above documents will be tested and will remain in home isolation till the reports are available.
Delhi
Thermal screening of all passengers will be done on arrival. Passengers will have to stay in quarantine for 14 days.
All constitutional and government functionaries and their staff members have been exempted from quarantine if they are asymptomatic.
Goa
Passengers carrying a Covid negative test report did so a maximum of 72 hours before entering Goa. Passengers entering Goa for medical emergencies on production of proof of the same.
Persons entering the State of Goa for the purpose of business and employment. Residents of Goa who are now stranded outside Goa due to pandemic related or other such issues. Residents of Goa, who are required to travel outside the State of Goa and return to the State after a few days, due to their work requirement / medical reasons.
Gujarat
Thermal screening of all incoming passengers will be done. RT-PCR test is not required for domestic travel in healthy persons on arrival at any station in the state of Gujarat.

Haryana
Thermal screening of all passengers will be done on arrival. All asymptomatic passengers arriving in Haryana will have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.
Himachal Pradesh
All asymptomatic passengers coming from all states will be exempted from quarantine, if they are carrying a coronavirus negative certificate through RT-PCR test or TrueNat T/CB NAAT test by ICMR authorized laboratory at that time. Has not been released before 96 hours from when the sample was taken.
Asymptomatic travellers arriving from cities with high prevalence of Covid-19 will have to undergo 7 days of institutional quarantine, followed by 7 days of home quarantine.
Asymptomatic residents of Himachal Pradesh, who had traveled to other states for medical, business or work purposes, may be exempted from quarantine if they leave or re-enter the state within 48 hours.
Travelers arriving from cities with high prevalence of COVID-19 may be exempted from institutional quarantine only if they are traveling for exceptional and compelling reasons such as human distress, pregnancy, death in the family, serious illness and accompanied by a parent. Jammu and Kashmir
All passengers arriving in Jammu and Kashmir will have to undergo a covid-19 antigen test through RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test.
Until the test report comes negative, the passengers will have to remain in home quarantine for 14 days.
Passengers without a contactable phone number with the updated Aarogya Setu app will have to undergo institutional quarantine for 14 days or till their test results come back negative, in which case they will be put under home quarantine.
Asymptomatic business travelers who have a confirmed return ticket, a confirmed hotel booking and their business ID will be exempted from quarantine and allowed to travel from the airport to their hotel after conducting a covid-19 test.
Defense and Central Armed Police Forces personnel returning to duty, including transit labor hired by the BRO to go to Ladakh, will be exempted from the COVID-19 antigen test.
On arrival the passenger will have to fill up the ICMR health form.
Jharkhand
Passengers coming from Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab will require RT PCR/RAT negative report from ICMR recognized laboratories within the last 72 hours. The RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of swab collection. Passengers without RT-PCR report will be tested at the airport. RTPCR/RAT test will be free of cost on arrival. A random RAT test will be conducted for passengers from other sectors.
Compulsory 7 days home quarantine for all travelers arriving in the state of Jharkhand.
Karnataka
It is mandatory for all passengers coming from Kerala and Maharashtra to have a negative RT-PCR certificate older than 72 hours, irrespective of vaccination status.
For travelers from all other states, it is mandatory that people with coronavirus symptoms must have an RT-PCR negative test report.
The exemptions allowed for negative RT-PCR certificates for passengers from Kerala and Maharashtra are as follows:
1. Constitutional functionaries and health care professionals.
2. Children under 2 years old.
3. In case of serious emergency (death in family, medical treatment etc.), the swabs of passengers will be collected on arrival.
On receiving the RTPCR test report, further action will be taken under the state protocol. The cost of RT-PCR test at Bengaluru airport is INR 800/- per person.
Kerala
Passengers travelling to Kerala from other states will have to carry an RT-PCR negative certificate within 72 hours from the start of the journey.
However, any person (including delivery agents) traveling within Kerala is not required to have a negative RT-PCR test result.
RT-PCR negative certificate is not mandatory for persons who have taken both doses of vaccine and are asymptomatic.
All asymptomatic passengers will be in home quarantine for 14 days. Passengers traveling to Kerala for less than 7 days are exempted from home quarantine, provided they obtain entry pass for a short journey from Jagriti portal https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/home/shortVisit.
If a passenger arrives at Calicut airport without RT-PCR result, then the RT-PCR test will be arranged at the airport itself. The cost of the test will be borne by the passenger. The passenger should remain in the Paid Quarantine Center or Home Quarantine till the result is out.

Ladakh
Thermal screening of all passengers will be done.
All asymptomatic passengers arriving in Ladakh will be exempted from quarantine if they are carrying a COVID-19 negative certificate by an ICMR-authorized lab issued within 48 hours from arrival.
All other passengers will have to undergo mandatory home quarantine for 7 days. Workers are advised to reach Ladakh through a contractor(s) or labor agencies and will be exempted from quarantine if they also produce a COVID-19 negative certificate issued by an ICMR-authorized laboratory within 48 hours from arrival. are taking.

Madhya Pradesh
There is no RT-PCR testing facility available at Indore airport. A negative RT-PCR certificate, not older than 72 hours, will be mandatory for flights from Maharashtra to Bhopal. Passengers without RTPCR test report will be compulsorily tested at Bhopal airport, the fee of which will be borne by the passengers.
All other asymptomatic travelers arriving in Madhya Pradesh are exempted from quarantine and will have to self-monitor their health for at least 14 days.

Maharashtra
It is mandatory for the passengers to carry the negative RT-PCR report 72 hours before the time of entry into Maharashtra. Passengers will not be allowed to board the flight without the RT-PCR report.
The RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of issue of the report. Conditions of exemption for traveling without RT-PCR report are as follows
1. Passengers must have been given both doses of COVID 19 vaccination.
2. 15 days should have elapsed after the second dose.
3. Passengers should have valid Final Immunization Certificate displayed on Aarogya Setu App issued through COWIN portal.
All travelers who intend to stay in Maharashtra for a period of 7 days or less will be exempted from compulsory quarantine. Such passengers will have to share their return/onward journey details.
Other passengers will have to stay in home quarantine for 14 days. To avail exemption from home quarantine, it is mandatory to upload the request online at https://portal.mcgm.gov.in before your travel.
Armed Forces personnel of Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard and their families are exempted from the above RT-PCR tests subject to adherence to other necessary COVID related protocols.
All passengers traveling through airports located within Maharashtra are exempted from RT-PCR test/certificate requirements.
As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the exemption for fully vaccinated passengers to travel without RT-PCR report does not apply to international passengers arriving in Maharashtra.
Manipur
Thermal screening of all passengers will be done. With effect from June 30, 2021, passengers entering Manipur from outside the state who have been fully vaccinated with two doses of the COVID vaccine will be subject to a negative COVID test report or a mandatory test on arrival at Imphal airport. The relaxation will be given on the condition that at least 15 days should have been completed from the date on which the second dose of COVID vaccine was given.
They should submit a valid certificate showing the fully immunized status of the person receiving two doses of the COVID vaccine and clearly indicating the date on which the second dose of the vaccine is received along with this certificate.
Passengers who have not been vaccinated or only partially vaccinated, i.e. received only 1 (one) dose of COVID Vaccine, will not be exempted and will be given a negative RAT / RT-PCR / True Net / CB-NAAT will have to prepare the COVID-19 test report. 72 hours at the time of entry into Manipur.
Meghalaya
Based on RT-PCR test charges for all incoming passengers, if the passenger is not carrying negative RT_PCR report on arrival not older than 72 hours before arrival.
All passengers will have to register on the state portal to generate a unique e-invitation http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/testing.html
Mizoram
Test against coronavirus should be done within 96 hours of arrival.
All passengers entering the state of Mizoram from other parts of the country will have to mandatorily undergo Rapid Antigen Test at the time of entry into Mizoram.
Rapid Antigen Test positive persons will be included as per the permanent protocol. This provision will also be applicable to the residents of Mizoram traveling outside and returning to Mizoram.
Those tested negative as Covid-19 with RAT but showing any symptoms of Covid-19, will be tested with RT-PCR/True-Net at the earliest. Those found COVID-19 negative will be quarantined and tested with RT-PCR TrueNat after 5 (five) days, and if found COVID-19 negative, they will be discharged from quarantine May go.
Persons entering Mizoram from outside may be exempted from the requirement of quarantine subject to fulfillment of the following terms and conditions:
1. He/she should submit a negative report along with valid SRF ID for COVID-19 test using RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT conducted 48 hours prior to the time of entry into the State at the screening point.
2. Should he/she be tested for COVID-19 at the point of entry and found to be COVID-19 negative, such exempted persons shall self-monitor themselves for any symptoms of COVID-I9 for a period of 7 (seven) days, and any can also do important work. Nagaland
All passengers should have their RT-PCR (Negative) report from ICMR approved laboratory before 72 hours of their arrival in the state of Nagaland through RT-PCR / TrueNat / CBNAAT. All travelers are required to install and register on Covid Nagaland Visitor's App and fill up the Self Declaration Form.
14 days home quarantine followed by 07 days institutional quarantine for all other passengers. If the person concerned does not have a negative test report or if he has not completed the COVID-19 vaccination, then that person will have to be quarantined for 10 days in the State.
Lower class passengers to be exempted from institutional quarantine subject to 28 days home quarantine
1. Persons above 60 years of age,
2. Children and parents of children 10 years of age and younger
3. Pregnant women and their accompanying wife.
All passengers will have to install and register on the COVID Nagaland Visitor App and fill up a self-declaration form. Low class passengers will be exempted from institutional quarantine subject to 28 days home quarantine with active surveillance
Odisha
The entry of the traveler into Bhubaneswar from other states on production of Rapid Antigen Test/RTPCR Negative Report/Final Vaccination Certificate is hereby withdrawn.
International incoming passengers with RT-PCR negative report will be exempted from institutional quarantine.
MoCA has allowed onward air travel of international incoming passengers vide OM dated 07-08-2020, when institutional quarantine by state authorities (of the entry airport) on the basis of a negative RT-PCR test report exempted from. Which was tested within 72 hours from the start of the journey.
Punjab
It is mandatory for all passengers flying at airports in Punjab to:
1. Carry a certificate of complete/final vaccination (both doses).
2. Carry a negative RT-PCR certificate for the last 72 hours. Infants and children below the age of 10 years will be exempted from the above requirement.
The requirement of arrival for domestic flights only and for international passengers will continue to be governed by the extant guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
All asymptomatic passengers arriving in Punjab will have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.
Rajasthan
Passengers, who have already been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, are exempted from carrying RT-PCR COVID-19 negative report while entering the state of Rajasthan, and also from mandatory home/institutional quarantine. Discount will be given.
Passengers who have not been vaccinated are required to carry a negative RT-PCR test report not older than 72 hours from departure and produce a negative COVID-19 certificate at the time of arrival in Rajasthan.
Passengers without reports will be quarantined for a period of 15 days.
If the traveller does not belong to Jaipur or Rajasthan (tourist, businessman), he will have to make his own arrangements to be quarantined.
All "Armed Forces personnel" arriving in Rajasthan are exempted to show RT-PCR negative report on arrival (within 72 hours).
All passengers coming to Rajasthan will have to undergo thermal screening and oxygen saturation check at the airport.
Tamil Nadu
COVID test will be done on symptomatic persons coming from Maharashtra and Kerala. All passengers arriving in Coimbatore must have an auto e-pass and also a negative RT-PCR report before 72 hours from the time of departure. This is not applicable for passengers coming from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry. If the passenger arrives without the RT-PCR report, the COVID test will be done free of cost at the Coimbatore airport.
7 days home quarantine and 7 days self-monitoring for all passengers coming to Tamil Nadu from Maharashtra and Kerala. Except Maharashtra and Gujarat other asymptomatic passengers from all states will have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.
None It is mandatory for passengers to have TN e-pass by registering on https://tnepass.tnega.org before travelling.
Telangana
It is mandatory for all passengers to install the Aarogya Setu app. Also, asymptomatic passengers arriving in Telangana are exempted from quarantine.
Tripura
Negative test report for coronavirus done by RT PCR/ True NAAT/ CBNAAT 72 hours prior to travel.
Travelers coming into the state without a COVID-19 report may be allowed if they are able to show a complete vaccination certificate and two weeks have elapsed since the last dose of vaccination.
All symptomatic passengers will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine. Passengers without RT-PCR test will be tested free of cost on arrival.
Uttarakhand
Covid-19 test (free) will be done for passengers coming from Maharashtra, Kerala and Gujarat. All passengers will be exempted from home quarantine if they arrive with negative report with RT-PCR / True NAT / CBNAAT / Antigen test 72 hours before arrival.
Fully vaccinated passengers 15 days after the second dose will be exempted from the above testing requirements to enter the state.
Home quarantine for visitors for more than 7 days. There is no quarantine for less than 7 days for travelers coming to Uttarakhand.
State and Central government officials, Supreme and High Court judges and other judicial officers, Uttarakhand MPs and MLAs and support staff have been exempted from quarantine.
All passengers will have to register on the state website http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in and follow the SOPs of government agencies.
Uttar Pradesh
RT-PCR negative report from ICMR recognized laboratories within last 72 hours for passengers coming from Kerala and Maharashtra. If the passengers do not report RT-PCR negative, they will have to undergo a "Rapid Antigen Test" at the Varanasi airport.
14 days home quarantine.
Passengers exiting Uttar Pradesh within 7 days of arrival will be exempted from compulsory quarantine subject to verification of return/onward journey.
Compulsory requirement of Aarogya Setu App and registration on https://reg.upcovid.in will have to pass through. Both rapid antigen and RT-PCR tests will be free of cost by the state authorities.
West Bengal
All passengers arriving from outside the state of West Bengal must mandatorily have an RT-PCR negative test report or proof of complete vaccination for the test done within 72 hours of flight departure.
With effect from 08 August 2021, fully vaccinated passengers arriving from Pune, Mumbai and Chennai airports will also have to mandatorily have RT-PCR negative test report for the test done within 72 hours of flight departure.
14 days quarantine for people without RT-PCR test report.
Only emergency cases like death of next of kin will be exempted from pre-test. However, they will have to get themselves tested at their own cost upon arrival at the airport. Children are not exempted from RTPCR test. Infants (0-24 months) who do not occupy a seat are exempt. If a person is on official duty and is tested negative for coronavirus, he will be allowed to do duty and return without any restrictions.
