Abu Dhabi has updated its green list of countries and destinations from which travellers can enter the emirate without the need for quarantine on arrival.
22 new destinations have been added in the recent update.
The most popular holiday hot spot Maldives returned to the list after being removed earlier in August, which will be good news for those planning a trip to the Indian Ocean island destination. Apart from this, other popular holiday destinations on the list are Cyprus, Croatia, Italy, Japan, and Portugal.
Greece, which is currently in the Vaccine Corridor with the United Arab Emirates, has been added to the Green List, meaning unvaccinated travellers returning from a Mediterranean destination can now avoid isolation.

Vaccinated citizens, residents and visitors from green destinations without the need for quarantine will undergo a PCR test on arrival and another test on day 6 upon stay in the Emirates. Those arriving from other destinations will have to undergo a PCR test on arrival without the need for quarantine, and further tests in days 4 and 8 if they are in the Emirates.
Vaccination-exempt citizens, including residents and visitors, upon arrival in Abu Dhabi from Green Listed destinations, will be required to undergo a PCR test on arrival, without the need for quarantine, and to undergo a PCR test on days 6 and 9.
On arrival from other destinations, unvaccinated citizens, residents and visitors will have to undergo a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 10 days and undergo another PCR test on the 9th day.
