Air India on Monday announced that it has started booking flights from India to Saudi Arabia (KSA) under the Vande Bharat Mission.

Saudi Arabia announced that it would allow direct entry of fully vaccinated expatriates from countries facing travel restrictions (Red list countries).

Currently India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Lebanon are facing travel restrictions by Saudi Arabia.

As per the schedule shared by the airline, it will operate flights from Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Trivandrum, Lucknow in India connecting Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia Travelling Guidelines

1. Resident permit holders (Iqama holders and valid exit re-entry visa) who have received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine inside the Kingdom prior to their departure from the Kingdom. 

2. Passengers will need to confirm through their Tavakalna mobile application (Vaccine Certificate and Health Passport) that the passenger has received two doses of the vaccine from Saudi Arabia prior to check-in.

3. RT-PCR negative report taken within 72 hours from boarding. This RT PCR report should be from an ICMR recognized laboratory and should contain a QR code.

4. Travellers will have to register vaccination data on the Mukeem website. Please refer to the advisory issued by the concerned government authorities before your visit.
