Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday announced that the aviation ministry will start operating airports at Keshod in Gujarat, Deoghar in Jharkhand, Gondia in Maharashtra, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra and Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh by November 30, 2021.
Heliports at Sanjoli near Shimla, Saase near Manali, Mandi and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh will start operating in the next 100 days.
Haldwani and Almora in Uttarakhand will also have operational heliports by November 30.

Featured Points Of 100-Days Plan
The 100-day plan of the Aviation Ministry also includes construction of Jewar at 4 airports Kushinagar, second terminal building in Dehradun, Agartala airport and Greater Noida in next 100 days, the minister said at a press conference on Thursday.
Scindia said that by November 30, the new airport in Kushinagar would be ready for inauguration. The construction of new terminal buildings at Dehradun, Agartala will also be completed in the next 100 days.
He said the government was not planning to extend the bidding deadline for Air India beyond September 15. In addition, the minister said that the government is in talks with several countries to increase international flights to and from India.
Scindia said that while there is a growing demand for capacity utilization and removal of fare caps on airline tickets in India, the government is committed to the safety of air travel and these caps will be in place only when the COVID-19 situation improves.
