CoWin, India's digital platform for COVID-19 vaccination, now allows international travelers to download an international version of their COVID vaccine certificate indicating their date of birth from CoWIN.
The certificate will be in line with the international travel guidelines of WHO. National Health Authority (NHA) CEO RS Sharma said in an announcement that the feature went live on Covin on Thursday, 30 September. By building a world-class digital platform for vaccination, we have ensured that the CoWIN certification is WHO-DDCC compliant: VS Data Dictionary.
Now, international travellers can download an international version of their certificate indicating their date of birth from CoWIN, Sharma stated.
The certificate, users will be able to download from a new "International Travel Certificate" option on the CoWIN portal, is in compliance with the Digital Documentation of WHO's COVID-19 Certificate Vaccination Status Data Dictionary.
Users can download International Travel Certificate by logging into CoWIN with their registered mobile number. Once logged in, users will see a new "International Travel Certificate" option right next to the "Certificates" option on the portal. It's in the lower-right corner of the CoWIN page.
The travel certificate shall state the date of birth, dose taken, vaccine name, type, manufacturer, number and year, month and date of the dose, dose batch number, and shall state that the certificate is WHO-DDCC compliant.
