Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Monday announced that passenger flights between Kuwait and India will resume on Tuesday, 07 September 2021.

Kuwait suspended all direct international flights from India on 24 April amid the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in India.

Last month DGCA Kuwait announced that it would resume commercial flight operations with 6 countries including India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal, but did not give any time frame for this.

India-Kuwat Travel Guidelines 

1. Passengers showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will not be accepted in flight to Kuwait.
2. No Visa on Arrival facility is available at Kuwait International Airport.
3. Kuwait residence permit holders who stayed (more than 6 months) outside Kuwait: 
  1. Persons who exited the State of Kuwait on/after 01 September 2019 are allowed to enter Kuwait, provided they hold a valid residence permit/visa.
  2. Persons exiting the State of Kuwait on/before August 31, 2019, are not permitted to enter the State of Kuwait, even if the traveler has a valid residence.
4. Screenshots/printouts/photos of IMMUNE or Kuwait Mobile ID application will not be honored. This should be verified using the application from the passenger's smart phone.
5. Passengers will travel to the State of Kuwait by presenting their valid digital civil ID using the Kuwait Mobile ID App.
6. GCC citizens must only use their passport to enter the state of Kuwait. Travel with ID is suspended.
7. GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries are; United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar and State of Kuwait.
