Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Civil Aviation on Monday issued new entry rules for visitors, residents and also shortened the quarantine period.
The aviation authority issued instructions to all airlines operating in Saudi Arabia to update mechanisms and procedures for residents and visitors entering the kingdom from the permitted list of countries and to reduce the duration of institutional quarantine.
Updated Things On Arrival
1. Any non-vaccinated person, who has received a single dose of state-approved vaccines, is required to submit a negative PCR report of the sample taken within 72 hours before arrival in the state.
2. Any person who has completed one of the vaccines not approved by the WHO and the Kingdom, or who has completed one of the vaccines approved by the WHO and not approved in the Kingdom, shall receive a Negative PCR report needs to be submitted. At the latest the sample was taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Kingdom.
In both the cases, institutional quarantine procedures will be enforced for five days and in addition to another one on the fifth day after arrival, a RT-PCR must be done within 24 hours of arrival.
The person should follow the timing of corona examination on the basis of application in chronological service
Dependents who are allowed to enter with their relatives who are immunized as per the following;
1. Unrelated dependents under the age of 18 are subjected to home quarantine procedures for five days, provided that a corona test (for those aged eight and above) is conducted on the fifth day. They are committed to implement all the precautionary measures prescribed by the Ministry of Health.
2. Unrelated dependents, who have completed 18 years or more, will be subject to institutional quarantine procedures.
All incoming passengers will have to register on the "Kuddam" platform before arriving in the Kingdom.
Isolation procedures as per the protocol of the Ministry of Health will be implemented for those who test positive during the institutional quarantine period. Recovery from coronavirus is not considered a valid justification for not implementing institutional quarantine procedures.
GACA noted that it amended home quarantine procedures for citizens to ensure they apply to non-vaccinated individuals.
The updated procedures include home quarantine for five days, followed by a RT-PCR Test test on the fifth day, as per the precautionary measures prescribed by the health ministry.
People who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus with a vaccine approved in the Kingdom will not be allowed to enter activities, events and government and private facilities, or be allowed on public transport.
