Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday that it has automatically extended travel and tourism visas issued before March 24, 2021.
The extension has already been done and the beneficiaries have been informed through email.
The move is part of the state's efforts to mitigate the effects of precautionary measures related to coronavirus, the ministry said in a statement.
Statement stated thats, "The Foreign Ministry, in collaboration with the National Information Centre and Ministry of Tourism, has extended visit and tourism visas issued in countries with which flights are suspended."
The ministry said that in countries from where travel is banned, holders of visas issued before March 24 have been notified.
Now Tourists Allowed In Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia lifted the suspension of entry for tourist visa holders starting 1 August after 18 months due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, under new rules, fully vaccinated tourists can enter the Kingdom without the need for home quarantine, provided they present a vaccination certificate on arrival and proof of negative PCR tests within 72 hours from the time of departure do it.
Visitors to the Kingdom are also required to register their data relating to vaccination doses on the electronic portal.
