Delhi government has announced the easing of restrictions on gatherings till November 15, along with stricter COVID-19 rules. As per reports, there is still a ban on performing Chhath Puja in public places.

Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) said that Ramlila and Durga Puja celebrations have now been allowed in the national capital in the coming month, but with stricter COVID-19 protocols.

The DDMA also issued a notice detailing a list of guidelines that would be followed by citizens and officials who would attend the celebrations of the upcoming festivals. The DDMA also said that strict action will be taken against those who fail to follow the COVID-19 guidelines.

As COVID-19 guidelines for Ramlila and Durga Puja celebrations, district authorities and Delhi Police will need to ensure that proper seating arrangements are made as per social distancing norms.

There will be separate entry and exit points at all places to facilitate smooth movement of people while maintaining adequate social distancing. The officials have also been asked to ensure that the places are not overcrowded at any point of time. Apart from this, the SOP also states that no stalls and fairs will be allowed at the venue to avoid overcrowding.
