As there is a low down in coronavirus cases, there has been an increase in the number of passengers at the Indira Gandhi International Airport again, in order to maintain the congestion at the airports, with some flights shifting their domestic operations from Terminal-3 to Terminal-1.
Low-cost carriers IndiGo and SpiceJet to shift a part of their domestic operations to Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal-1 with effect from 31 October 2021.

Effective October 31, all SpiceJet flights will operate from both Terminal 1 and 3 of IGI Airport, New Delhi.
- Flight number SG8000-8999 will operate from Terminal 3 (T3).
- All other domestic flights will operate from Terminal 1 (T1).
- All international flights will continue to operate from Terminal 3 (T3) only.
