Thai Government on Friday announced new quarantine norms for travellers traveling to Thailand effective October 01, 2021.
The announcement comes as reopening of Bangkok and other cities to fully vaccinated international tourists from November 2021.
In Thailand, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration has approved a four-stage timeline for the country's reopening plan to revive the national tourism industry.
New Quarantine Guidelines For Travellers
Guideline For Fully Vaccinated
The quarantine period will be at least 7 days for travelers who have been fully vaccinated with vaccines approved by the Thai authorities at least 14 days before their departure date.
Below are the vaccined approved in Thailand;
- Moderna (Moderna Inc.)
- Sputnik V (Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology)
- AstraZeneca or Covishield (AstraZeneca & University of Oxford / SK Bioscience (Korea) / Siam Bioscience / Serum Institute of India (SID)
- CoronaVac (Sinovac Biotech Ltd.)
- Sinopharm or COVILO (Sinopharm Co., Ltd.)
- Pfizer — BioNTech COVID-19 or Comimaty (Pfizer Inv., & BioNTech)
- Janssen or Janssen/Ad26.COV2.S (Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc.)
Guidelines For Not Vaccinated Or Not Fully Vaccinated Travellers
The quarantine period shall be at least 10 days for passengers who have not been vaccinated and who have not been fully vaccinated.
Guidelines For Children’s Under The Age of 18
Children under the age of 18 who have not been vaccinated and are travelling with a fully vaccinated parent or guardian may be quarantined for the same period as their parent or guardian.
