Saudi Arabia Starts Quarantine Free Travel For Indians And Approves Indian Vaccine Covishield

Saudi Arabia has now recognized and approved the CoviShield vaccine, which means Indians can now travel to Saudi Arabia without mandatory quarantine.

Covishield, manufactured by Serum Institute of India, joins the list of eight other approved vaccines

Fully vaccinated travellers with Saudi-approved vaccines are able to enter the country without having to undergo institutional quarantine.

While entry into Saudi Arabia is still temporarily suspended for travellers arriving or leaving Saudi Arabia for 14 days prior to arrival, Covishield's approval is a positive development as Saudi prepares to open its borders to Indian tourists.

Indian travelers who have spent 14 days in a country that is not on the list of countries where entry has been temporarily suspended immediately before entering Saudi are also allowed as long as they are fully become immune and negative PCR test 72 hours before departure is a mandatory requirement in all cases.
