Dubai recently announced new COVID-19 testing rules for passengers visiting Dubai in 12 countries including India and Pakistan.

As per the latest guidelines, travelers from these countries will have to show a negative RT-PCR test report with a validity of 48 hours.

There are specific requirements for travelers traveling from the theses countries, ie; Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Sudan, United Kingdom, Vietnam and Zambia.

If Travel from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Sudan or Zambia; 

For travelers coming from these countries, it is mandatory that the RT PCR report includes a QR code linked to the original report for verification purposes.

QR code must be presented to representatives of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) upon check-in and upon arrival at Dubai airports.

If Travel from the UK

All passengers traveling from the UK to Dubai must have a negative RT-PCR test certificate taken not more than 48 hours before departure and the certificate must be for RT PCR testing.

The RT PCR test result certificate should mention the place where the sample was taken. NHS COVID 19 test certificates are not accepted for travel from the UK.

If Travel from Indonesia, Egypt and Vietnam

For travelers coming from these countries, it is mandatory that the RT PCR report includes a QR code linked to the original report for verification purposes.

On arrival at Dubai airports the QR code must be checked in and presented to representatives of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). PCR test should be done within 72 hours of departure.

Guideline for travellers arriving in Dubai from these countries or using Dubai as a connection hub:

• A valid negative RT-PCR test certificate with a QR code for the test done within 48 hours. Validity should be calculated from the time the sample was collected, prior to departure from an approved health facility.

• A rapid RT-PCR test report with QR code for testing done at the departure airport within six hours of departure.
