IndiGo has announced suspension of most of flights between the three major airports of Delhi, Mumbai and WB; Kolkata, Durgapur and Bagdogra for three months due to the surge in coronavirus cases.

This suspesion comes after the West Bengal government restricted flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Kolkata and said flights to Kolkata would be allowed to operate only twice a week- Monday and Friday from January 5.

At present, IndiGo operates about 25 daily flights between Delhi and Kolkata and 15 daily flights between Mumbai and Kolkata.

Travoinfo strictly suggested to check the status of your flights before travelling in IndiGo routes on Indigo Website

Now, as per the guidelines of the state government, the airline will be able to operate on these routes only on Mondays, Fridays and thus the limited capacity may lead to inflationary impact on airfares on these routes.
