West Bengal announced the extension of coronavirus-related restrictions till January 31, 2022. While most of the restrictions remain as per the earlier order issued on January 2, the state government has provided some relaxations in the extension.
All restrictions extended till the end of this month refer to a night curfew in the state that bans all kinds of outdoor activities along with movement of people and vehicles between 10 pm and 5 am. However, essential and emergency services are exempted from these restrictions.
These restrictions remain the same as the state government imposed these travel restrictions from January 3 in an effort to contain the rising number of Covid-19 cases.
