West Bengal has decided to relax the travel restrictions imposed after the sudden hike in omicron virusn cases.
West Bengal decided to withdraw all restrictions imposed on tourist places in the state. Meanwhile, daily domestic flights from Delhi and Mumbai have been resumed from February 1, 2022.
State Disaster Management Authority has remove restrictions, as parks, amusement parks, zoos, museums and other tourist places will open for visitors only with 75 % capacity. Meanwhile, the state authorities have decided to keep restaurants and bars open as well.
While with this announcement Kolkata Airport also announced the new testing costs at Kolkata Airport which is as follows;
Domestic flights from Delhi and Mumbai are resumed after weeks of restrictions, with flights from Bengaluru being allowed only thrice a week for now. These three days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. West Bengal had earlier imposed night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am and it will continue to be in force, but the timing has been changed from 11 pm to 5 am.
In case of international flights, incoming flights from United Kingdom to Kolkata will be required to submit RT-PCR test report, which is not older than 48 hours before departure.
