Jet Airways CEO Sanjeev Kapoor on Friday said the airline wants to make a comeback with a product that offers a 'hybrid' model of full-service business class and no-frills economy class in line with low-cost carriers under the same brand.
Jet Airways will have a two-class configuration wherein business class customers will get services like free food, drinks etc. Economy class, on the other hand, will be modeled as a low-cost carrier, with passengers paying for food and other services.
We will be a full service airline with an economy class that can compete at LCC fare levels. A modern FSC. A single brand. No-frills etc are assumptions being made basis the phrase "hybrid". And once again, we will not be sharing our detailed product and service strategy so soon.

According to Kapoor, some of the most successful and profitable full-service airlines in the world, including the United States, the European Union and Japan, use a hybrid model.
Last month, the Jalan-Kalrock consortium, the new promoter of Jet Airways, issued a press release and said that it is working with DGCA India to resume scheduled services soon. The release also said that "restart activities are going smoothly."
