The Union Health Ministry on Monday removed the mandatory requirement of uploading self-declaration forms on the Air Suvidha portal for international arrivals in India.
The amended order will be effective from November 22. Till now, all international travelers coming to India were required to fill an Air Suvidha Form, which asked questions about recent travel, current health and other topics.
Civil Aviation ministry in is official statement said, “In the light of sustained declining COVID-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in COVID-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised ‘Guidelines for International Arrivals.”
Recently, India has also relaxed the mask requirement for all domestic and international passengers, saying that all passengers must wear a mask/face cover, but there will be no fine or penalty for passengers not wearing a mask during a flight.
