As after seeing the sudden hike in corovirus cases, from January 01, international arrivals from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore will be required to submit self-declaration through Air Suvidha portal, along with RT-PCR test report.
RT-PCR test has been made mandatory for flyers coming from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand from 1st January 2023. They will have to upload their reports on the Air Suvidha portal before travel.

It is worth noting here that, India had last month done away with the requirement of filling the Air Suvidha form, which asked questions about recent travel, vaccinations, current health and other topics.
The Union Health Ministry said that the next 40 days will be crucial as India may see a spike in Covid cases in mid-January. This assessment was done after analyzing the past trends of Covid surge in the country.
The operational readiness of health facilities is being assessed in all states and union territories as part of preparations for another wave amid a surge in Covid cases in some countries.
