In view of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in Asian countries, India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has updated the guidelines for travelers entering the country. Meanwhile, the ministry mandated surprise testing of all arriving passengers; Thermal screening of all passengers will also be done, some will be tested on arrival.
New Guildeline Issued For Air Travellers
1. All international passengers traveling from Japan, China, South Korea and Thailand will mandatorily undergo RT-PCR test, and those found symptomatic or positive for COVID-19 will be quarantined.
2. Air suvidha form is back, and all international passengers will have to fill a form to declare their health status.
3. All passengers traveling to India will now compulsorily undergo thermal screening.
4. Also, anyone found symptomatic will be isolated and taken to a designated medical facility.
5. Also, 2% of all international passengers on every incoming international flight will be required to undergo COVID-19 tests upon arrival. They will be chosen at random; However, the passengers will not need to wait for the test results and will be allowed to leave after giving the samples.
So far no other country has announced any significant measures for travelers,
