DGCA imposed a fine of ten lack rupees on GoFirst after an incident in which the airline left 55 passengers in a passenger coach at Bangalore airport on January 9, 2023.
Following the incident, the airline transferred 53 of the total 55 passengers to another flight to different destinations, while the remaining two passengers were turned back.

Following the incident, the aviation regulatory body issued a show cause notice to the accountable manager of GoFirst, requesting that the carrier explain why enforcement action should not be taken against them for failing to meet their regulatory obligations .
On Wednesday, GoFirst filed a reply to the show cause notice, which was reviewed by aviation regulator DGCA.
