The dates of Char Dham Yatra have been announced, and those who want to go for this pilgrimage should start preparing.
Uttarakhand state government announced the dates on the day of Mahashivaratri, and said that the portals of the holy shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath would be opened on April 25 and April 27, respectively. Along with this, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will be opened on April 22 as per tradition.
As reported earlier, the Uttarakhand government has issued new instructions for Char Dham Yatra for this year, and said that all pilgrims coming to Uttarakhand for Char Dham Yatra will undergo mandatory registration.
Uttarakhand is expecting more pilgrims for Char Dham Yatra this year. However, strict measures have been taken to ensure that all domestic and international pilgrims go through the mandatory registration process. It is to be noted that no one will be allowed to travel without the mandatory registration.
Now, as per the latest news reports, the tourism department has started the registration for Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. So far, 4.17 lakh pilgrims have registered for the yatra; This year, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will be opened for devotees.
For the convenience of the devotees, the tourism department has started an online registration system, through which the passengers will be able to register themselves easily.
